Navigating Grief with Compassion and Care
Grief counselling offers a path to healing.
Losing someone you love can change everything. Whether the loss was sudden and unexpected, or anticipated after a long illness, grief can leave you feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed by sorrow, uncertain and unsure of how to move forward.
Grief counselling offers a safe, compassionate space to talk about your loss, make sense of what you are experiencing, and begin to find your way through the many emotions that can accompany grief.
Sudden and Traumatic Loss
A sudden loss can bring shock, trauma, unanswered questions, guilt, anger, and a profound loss of safety or security. When the future you imagined changes without warning, compassionate and specialized support can help you process what has happened and begin navigating life after loss.
Anticipatory Grief and Life Changes
Grief can begin long before a death, particularly when someone you love is living with a serious illness. You may be grieving changes in your relationship, daily life, future plans, or sense of self while also trying to provide care. Loss can also follow injury, illness, or major life changes, affecting confidence, focus, decision-making, relationships, and interest in daily activities. Therapy offers a supportive space to process these experiences and move forward at your own pace.
Grief Counselling
Grief counselling provides a caring, confidential space to share your experience, process the impact of your loss, and navigate the emotions and changes that can arise throughout grief.
There is no “right” way to grieve and no timetable for healing. Together, we can explore your unique experience of loss, including the many challenges that can arise in the days, months and years that follow.
