Therapeutic Yoga
I am a dedicated professional whose own journey through physical injuries, personal loss, and life transformations has fuelled my passion for wellness. After a successful 17-year career in the federal government, my strong desire to help others heal and lead their best lives moved me full-time into the realm of wellness in 2013.
From basic Hatha Yoga Teacher Training to specialized certifications like Yoga Tune Up®, my quest for knowledge has been driven by my personal experiences of pain and recovery. As a certified Biology of Trauma® professional, I also possess a deep understanding of PTSD and trauma, and how to support the gradual and healthy regulation of the nervous system.
By delving into anatomy, biomechanics, and the central nervous system, I have honed my skills to become a sought-after therapeutic yoga professional, particularly in the areas of therapeutic movement, functional mobility and trauma-informed exercises.
My ability to connect stems from my experience in communications and public affairs. By understanding each client’s unique circumstances and aspirations, I tailor my guidance to provide meaningful support on each individual’s path to healing.

Nancy Stewart
M.Ed, CTDP
Grief Counselling
Nancy Stewart is an experienced grief counsellor, facilitator, educator and writer who supports people navigating the overwhelming journey of grief and loss. Her work is grounded in both professional experience and training, as well as a deep understanding of the realities of life-altering loss.
Nancy’s own journey through grief began when her husband, Doug, was killed by an impaired driver and her 11-year-old daughter, Emily, suffered a catastrophic brain injury. In the aftermath, Nancy turned to MADD Canada for support. Her experience eventually led her to become a volunteer, presenter, spokesperson, board member and Victim Services Volunteer, supporting others whose lives have been profoundly changed by loss.
For more than nine years, Nancy has facilitated MADD Canada’s Loss of Partner grief support group, working with people from across Canada. She creates a safe, compassionate environment where participants can share their experiences, explore the challenges of grief and connect with others who understand.
Nancy has also volunteered with Acclaim Health for eight years. She began as a grief companion, providing individual support to people experiencing loss, and later became a facilitator for the online 12-week Loss of a Partner program. Through this work, she has supported people at different stages of their grief journey, both individually and in groups.
Nancy created and regularly facilitates Journaling Through Grief, a workshop she has presented at many MADD Canada national conferences. She is also the author-in-progress of Your Journey Through Grief and Companioning Someone Who Is Grieving.
Her work in victim services has been recognized with MADD Canada’s 2025 Victim Services Volunteer of the Year award and the 2023–24 Victim Services Award of Distinction from the Ontario Attorney General.
Her direct experience and training in grief support is complemented by a professional background in psychology and education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education, as well as a coaching certification. She brings extensive professional experience in coaching and counselling, facilitation and adult learning.
Nancy understands that grief is deeply personal. There is no single way to grieve and no timetable for healing. Her approach is warm, compassionate and practical, offering a supportive place to talk openly about what has been lost, the changes that follow, and the difficult work of creating a life within a new reality.
Nancy’s goal is not to tell people how they should grieve, but to provide support as they find their own way forward.

Holistic Nutrition
My goal with my clients is to help them to trigger their own healing. As a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist, I focus on finding the root cause of symptoms. Once I understand the underlying issue, I create a personalized holistic nutrition program to help clients to achieve their healing goals.
I believe in the magnificence of the human body, including its ability to heal injury, overcome sickness, develop immunity, produce energy, and give us lifelong health and vitality.
Nutrients and natural therapies enable the creation of energy within the body. With energy you have the foundation for healing and health. My commitment, through holistic nutrition, is to inspire, teach, guide, energize, and support others in their unique healing journey, and to help clients discover their ability to heal and take care of their health.
Working together, we will leverage the power of holistic nutrition (often the missing link to healing!), which encompasses the interplay between anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, emotion and energetics.
Our bodies are designed to heal - in fact your body is working to heal as you read these words! Wherever you are in your journey, however you are feeling in this very moment, I am here to join you, share knowledge with you, empower you, and guide you in your healing and health.
